I am planning tours and the starting point will be Tel
Aviv at 10:00 due it many options of going north or south. A German women Steffi
arrived to the hostel with her own bicycle and all equipment for staying outside for nearly a month. We look at the map of Israel and especially the North due to she wanted to go there first. Tuesday 24.04.2007 she started her Adventure in Israel and I joined her for the first around 25 km.
We took off from
Jaffa Hostel and bicycled on the
promanade to the old port in North Tel
Aviv and past the power plant that was heavy
secured to the the
Memorial day. Past by the Air port for
domestic flights to
Eilat and went North on paved road. We took the #2 due to that we need air in tires and found a gas station with a PSI meter to
meassure the exact amount of air. we bicycle on #2 for another 6 km to the kibbutz
Gaash where we got off and went under the #2 road and went North. We went down to the beach to follow the
Isra Trail on the beach. The beach is a beautiful wild nature beach with a lot of people and kids in the beginning but further away people are getting fewer and fewer. It has rained a lot last year and beginning of this year and you could see it on the water
channels nature made. We bicycle around 6 km on the beach, which was somehow hard but a few spots it was very sandy and wet due to the lot of rain. So we had to get off and walk the bicycles a few times. We ended up at a beach just outside
Netanyea with a lot of people and a few 4 wheel cars.
A very beautiful ride along the beach. I said good bye there and bicycled back and stayed a few hours on the beach before heading back to
TLV. I
arrived back around 17:30 and around 60 km.
